therapeutic approach
core philosophy
My approach to therapy is relational, client-centred, and collaborative. I view therapy as a space to understand rather than fix — where insight, emotional awareness, and meaningful change develop through a supportive therapeutic relationship.

I draw from a range of evidence-informed approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. Rather than following a rigid framework, these approaches are integrated and adapted based on your needs, goals, and pace.

This may involve exploring patterns of thought and behaviour that feel stuck or overwhelming, building practical coping strategies, increasing emotional awareness, or identifying small, achievable steps forward when things feel hard to navigate. Throughout our work, collaboration and respect for your lived experience remain central.

sisu
While sisu is often associated with endurance or pushing through adversity, in this practice it is understood more gently.

In therapy, sisu may show up as learning when to slow down, when to rest, when to speak up, or when to set boundaries. It can mean building the capacity to stay with difficult emotions without becoming overwhelmed, or taking small, steady steps forward even when circumstances feel challenging.

Here, resilience is not measured by how much you can tolerate or endure, but by developing flexibility, self-trust, and care for your well-being — especially in moments when life feels heavy or uncertain.
